Get ScoreRelay for your computer

Free software that brings the live data from your ScoreRelay devices onto your computer. The OBS Studio plugin puts scores and graphics directly into your stream; the ScoreRelay-RX app does the same for other overlay tools and automation.

ScoreRelay for OBS Studio

A ScoreRelay dock inside OBS: live score text and your account's graphics as sources, plus setup and management of your devices over USB, Bluetooth, or your network. No separate app to keep running.

Mac

macOS 12 or newer, Apple Silicon or Intel, with OBS Studio 32 or newer. Installs for your user account only; no administrator password needed.

Download installer (.pkg)

Windows

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) with OBS Studio 32 or newer. Installs for your user account only; no administrator password needed.

Download installer (.exe)

Check a download against the SHA-256 in the release manifest. The plugin checks for new versions from its dock (Check for updates) and installs them when you choose; it never updates while you are not looking.

Installing on a Mac

  1. Quit OBS Studio, then open the .pkg.
  2. The installer is not signed with a paid developer certificate yet, so macOS may refuse to open it by double-click. Right-click the file, choose Open, then Open again.
  3. Start OBS and choose Docks → ScoreRelay.

Installing on Windows

  1. Quit OBS Studio, then run the installer.
  2. If SmartScreen says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Start OBS and choose Docks → ScoreRelay.

Install the plugin folder by hand

No installer needed: the plugin is one folder that goes into OBS Studio's plugins folder. This is the same file the plugin downloads when you choose Update now in its dock.

Mac

  1. Quit OBS Studio and unzip the download. You get a scorerelay-obs.plugin folder.
  2. Move it into ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio/plugins/ (in Finder: Go → Go to Folder; create plugins if it is missing).
  3. Browsers mark downloaded files as untrusted, which can stop OBS loading the plugin. In Terminal run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Application\ Support/obs-studio/plugins/scorerelay-obs.plugin.
  4. Start OBS and choose Docks → ScoreRelay.
Download plugin folder (.zip)

Windows

  1. Quit OBS Studio. Right-click the download and choose Extract All. You get a scorerelay-obs folder.
  2. Move it into %APPDATA%\obs-studio\plugins\ (paste that into the Explorer address bar; create plugins if it is missing).
  3. Check that %APPDATA%\obs-studio\plugins\scorerelay-obs\bin\64bit\scorerelay-obs.dll exists: the folder should not be nested twice.
  4. Start OBS and choose Docks → ScoreRelay.
Download plugin folder (.zip)

To remove it, quit OBS and delete the folder. A copy placed in the plugins folder of your own user account (as above) can also update itself from the dock.

Pick your computer

Mac, Apple Silicon

For any Mac with an M-series chip (M1 or newer).

Download .dmg

Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it shows Chip: Apple M… pick Apple Silicon; if it shows Processor: Intel… pick Intel. You can verify a download against the published checksums (the Mac downloads), or the Windows installer against its checksum on this site.

First launch on a Mac

The app is not signed with a paid developer certificate yet, so your Mac asks you to confirm it once.

  1. Open the .dmg and drag ScoreRelay-RX to Applications.
  2. Right-click the app and choose Open.
  3. Using Bluetooth? Choose Allow when macOS asks, then quit and reopen the app once so the permission takes effect.

First launch on Windows

Windows SmartScreen may warn about an app it has not seen often.

  1. Run the installer you downloaded.
  2. If SmartScreen says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer, then open ScoreRelay-RX from the Start menu.

ScoreRelay-RX is free and open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0. Read the code, report a problem, or see every release on GitHub. Release notes are on the latest release page.
